Grilled Burgers with Green Bean Caprese Salad
I've deliberately skipped over Sunday's dinner, as Nick took the lead on it and he's going to do the post too. So, for now, on to Monday's dinner. I was a little sad to realize that it was the last day of August and we hadn't made a caprese salad all summer. Luckily that's an easy fix. We had a lovely variety of tomatoes from our CSA delivery, some fun mozzarella from the France 44 Cheese Shop, and fresh basil growing in the backyard. And, just for fun, I decided to throw in some blanched green beans too. I tossed it instead of layering and voila, a tasty, albeit slightly alternative, caprese salad! We served grilled burgers along with the salad, since they are another summer favorite at our house.
