Holiday cocktail party fare
Sorry, no pictures. I meant to take some, but then it slipped my mind.
Here is what I served for food..
Lisa's holiday meatballs
ginger scented pecans
cold smoked salmon phyllo cups
herb marinated goat cheese
hot feta phyllo cups
brandy orange chocolate fondue
date cream cookies
caramel pecan sandies
And for drinks we had assorted beers and liquor as well as these special drinks...
pomegranate-lemon martini
mulled cider with brandy
What is everyone doing for Christmas this year?

Thanksgiving Prime Rib
Hope all of you had a fantastic Thanksgiving with the people you love. Richie and I stayed here in DC rather than fight with the travelling masses to get to either of our home states. This is the second year in a row that we've done that, so I guess we've established it as our tradition. Another tradition of two years and counting... instead of turkey, we had prime rib. Sorry, I didn't take a picture, but I can assure you it tasted even better than it looked!
Next weekend we are having a holiday cocktail party (you are all virtually invited - I wish you could come in reality too!). I'm feeling really out of practice in the party hosting arena and kind of struggling to come up with foods that are fairly easy to prepare and will appeal to a broad spectrum of people, yet have that "dinner club" quality too. Any suggestions?
